“Recycle-upcycle. 30 years of NCK” is an exhibition that is the result of a year-long query of the digital and traditional archives of the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre (NCK). The materials and stories found there served as material for a collage story about cultural initiatives undertaken by the National Cultural Center for the last 30 years. Their diversity, character and condition meant that we had to think about the exhibition in a creative and extraordinary way.
Using the dimensions and proportions of the exhibition room, which are unusual in our everyday work, we decided on an installation that would fit in with the slenderness of the church space. A series of 6-meter sashes symbolizes the timeline and each of the sashes serves as a carrier for a collage of various materials left over from events organized by the NCK in the past.
The experience of suspending the installation to the medieval vault was undoubtedly one of the most interesting events in the history of our activity.
