OPENING OF THE EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CENTRE

Project of temporary public space and its furnishings.

localization: Gdańsk, Poland
commissioned by: European Solidarity Center
year: 2014
status: realizaed

This temporary public space designed by us was functioning during the official opening of the new European Solidarity Center building. Our inspirations included steel sheets and ropes, inseparably connected with the shipyard surroundings, however we presented them in a very neat and clean form, which did not compete with the corten elevations of the building. The installation including info point, education point, gastro point and chillout zone was filled with small architecture of various forms. After dusk the whole space lightened up with hundreds of lanterns.
